The current Review Box, now called the legacy Review Box, will soon be phased out. It will no longer receive updates or support, which may disrupt your storefront and negatively affect user experience.
By upgrading, you’ll unlock these benefits:
Customizable design: Easily tailor the widget to match your brand and make adjustments anytime.
Modern appearance: Trendy and professional designs keep your storefront looking fresh and engaging.
Faster performance: Improved load times ensure a smoother shopping experience for your customers.
Scalability: A robust system that grows with your business, handling increased traffic and larger datasets effortlessly.
Updating ensures your store stays up-to-date with the latest design, helping you maintain trust with your customers by showcasing professional and up-to-date feedback features.
If you choose not to update, here’s what to expect:
No customization or support
You cannot customize the widget or make any adjustments.
Technical issues will no longer be supported or resolved.
Limited visibility controls
The Review Box will remain visible on your storefront, but you can only toggle it on or off for individual pages.
You cannot make configuration changes, such as adjusting its layout, behavior, or placement.
Note: By default, the Review Box will maintain its current placement on pages based on your existing settings. However, if you toggle the Review Box on or off for a specific page, the placement will update accordingly for that page.
Removal of the legacy Review Box
The legacy Review Box will eventually be removed entirely from your store.
This could lead to disrupted storefront display, reduced trust from customers, and a potential decline in conversions.
When updating to the latest Review Box, you’ll notice the key changes:
Unified configuration
In the previous version, each page could have a different widget configuration. While this allowed for page-specific customization, it often led to the following problems:
Inconsistent design across your site: Having multiple configurations made it difficult to maintain a cohesive and professional look throughout your storefront.
Time-consuming management: Managing and updating multiple configurations for different pages required significant time and effort.
In the new version, a single configuration will be applied across all pages. This ensures a consistent appearance throughout your site, saving you time and simplifying maintenance.
Widget placement
The Review Box will remain in the same locations on each page as they were before the update.
Click the “Update now” button in the banner or in the Legacy Review Box area.
In the existing version, the Review Box widget may be displayed on a different page. However, when updating to the new version, a single configuration will be applied across all pages to ensure a consistent appearance throughout your site.
From the appearance section, select one configuration from the drop-down menu:
Use an existing configuration (e.g., homepage, product page, review page).
Choose the default configuration provided by Kudosi.
Note: If you are satisfied with the demo on the right, you can skip this step and move directly to Step 3.
Click the eye icon (Preview on Storefront) at the top right to see how the new widget will look on your store.
Once you’re ready, click Update now to proceed.
Click Confirm to allow the system to complete the update process.
