Customizing promotion badge appearance

After customizing the review request email and adjusting the discount settings, you might want to also personalize the appearance of the promotion badge to match your store’s branding. This article will show you how to quickly and effectively customize your promotion badges.

About promotion badge

The promotion badge is a visual label used to highlight special offers, such as discounts, to attract customer's attention and encourage them to leave reviews after purchases. The promotion badge may be shown in various places depending on your settings in the promotion badge customization.

The purpose of all steps in this article is to change the appearance of the promotion badge that fit your brand. To adjust discount value like discount amount or percentage, read the article the discount setting for more information.

Customize promotion badge

Step 1: Open promotion badge in Kudosi app

Steps

From the Kudosi dashboard, navigate to the left-side menu, and click Collect Reviews.
Click Discount at the top of the collect reviews page.
From the drop-down, select Discount Display Customization.
In the promotion badge section, click Customize.

Step 2: Select the place to show the promotion badge

The promotion badge can be displayed in different places below. You can switch to preview how the promotion badge fits each place.

Click the drop-down at the top right of the page.
Select one place to show the promotion badge:

Review request email
Review submission page
Review box
Write a review section.

Besides, if you want to view details and change the template for the selected location where you want the promotion badge to appear, click Customize.

Step 3: Select template

There are 2 templates for the promotion badge, which are Basic and Center icons.

Step 4: Adjust design

In the design section, you can adjust elements:

Text color
Discount value color
Outline or border
Background card
Background section
Border radius

Step 5: Modify content

Language: We support several languages, including Chinese (simplified), Portuguese, German, French, Japanese, etc.

The language options for customizing the promotion badge are synced with the Shopify admin settings. This means the languages available in the Shopify admin settings are the same ones on the promotion badge customization page.

To change the language in the promotion badge, click Language dropdown. You can switch among multiple languages, provided you’ve added them under the Shopify admin settings.

Steps to add more languages from Shopify admin settings :

From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Languages.
Click Add Language.
Select a language from the drop-down menu, then click Add.
In Unpublished languages, click Publish beside the language that you want to make available to customers in your store.

Main content: Describes the discount value (percentage or fixed amount) awarded for each product review.
Review with text: Specifies the discount percentage/fixed amount for text reviews.
Review with photo: Specifies the discount percentage/fixed amount for photo reviews.
Review with video: Specifies the discount percentage/fixed amount for video reviews.

Note: The purpose of all these steps is to change the appearance of the promotion badge to fit your store’s branding. To have a specific amount of discount or adjust the discount method and discount value, you need to edit the discount setting.The discount amount (variable) in the promotion badge is the same as the discount value in the discount setting.

Remember to click Save at the top right of the page after finishing the promotion badge customization.

If you want to reset everything to the default settings, simply click Reset default next to the Discard button.
