Importing reviews from a CSV file

In this article, we will learn the steps for importing existing reviews from a CSV file and how to fill in review data in the Kudosi template fields.

Steps

From the Kudosi dashboard > click Import Reviews in the side menu > click Import CSV file in the top right of the import reviews tab.



From the spreadsheet in the left-sidebar, click the Kudosi template. This will open a new tab, which is the Kudosi spreadsheet template.



From the Kudosi template, select File > Make a copy.



Delete all sample data in the template, then complete all your data on the copied template fields. Read format the template fields
After filling in all information in the copied template, select File > Download > Comma Separated Values (.csv).



Upload the downloaded CSV file, and check the box I agree to the terms of service.
Click Import now.



Note: The maximum file size for uploading is 5MB.

Format the template fields



To import reviews from a CSV file successfully, you need to complete the Kudosi template. There are 8 columns in the Kudosi template:

Customer country code (Alpha-2 code)
Product ID
Customer name
Rating
Content
Customer email (optional)
Published date
Image link (optional)

2. Product IDThe product ID is a sequence of digits found in the last part of the product URL from the Shopify admin.This is an example of product URL from Shopify admin: https://admin.shopify.com/store/skinmeltest123/products/8168837578940. “8168837578940” is product ID
3. Customer nameThe reviewer's name.Anna
4. RatingThe star rating. Valid values from 1 to 5 are supported.2
5. Content (optional)The review textExcellent price with high quality. I will definitely buy it again.
6. Customer email (optional)The reviewer's email address. You can leave this field empty if you don’t have the customer’s email.Ryanwitt@gmail.com
7. Published dateFollow the pattern: mm/dd/yyyy or mm/dd/yy. Make sure the date format is consistent across the entire published date column. yyyy and yy is the year; mm is the month; dd is the day.10/12/21
2. Image Link (optional)To import review images, make sure that the image URL is published, and follow accepted formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .gif. Steps to get product ID:

From the Shopify admin > click Products in the side menu > select product you want > copy the product ID in the URL.



Steps to publish an image link:

From the Shopify admin > Content > Files > Upload files.



After uploading the image into Shopify files, copy the image link and paste it into the image link field.
